  A Finance and Strategy programme

Fi-Nuance, is a game based approach to learning the basics of both finance and strategy.

In this game, four teams of participants compete in a similar marketplace, beginning their game with a goal which could be either profit maximisation or market share or a combination of the two. The game is played over a maximum of 20 quarters. In each quarter, participants take decisions to bid for projects, in the process understanding the essentials of costing and pricing and prepare their own Profit and Loss Accounts using an excel
template provided. At the end of each year, they prepare their Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement.

The facilitator halts the game at regular intervals to highlight learnings and weave the interplay between finance and strategic decision making. Optionally, basics of strategy, such as the BCG matrix, may be discussed.

At the end, the participants learn the following:
Basics of strategy
Basics of finance and costing
Appreciating the difference between profit and cash flow
Understanding pricing decisions in growth environments; and
Growth capital opportunities

The game's USP: interactive, lively, competitive & learning that no one will
forget in a hurry. A workbook is provided to participants as well.
